Terms and conditions

  • **WARNING:** To register with Albion Rovers F.C., you must be **18 years of age or older**. If you are under 18 years of age, your parent or primary carer must apply on your behalf.

     Refund Policy

     - Refunds will **not** be provided if a registered child is withdrawn after the grading and selection period. This is the period when a player is accepted into an Albion Rovers FC team and payments must be finalised. Withdrawal of a player after this date will result in **no refund**.

    - This policy applies to **all players at the Club, regardless of age group**, including Senior Men’s and Women’s teams.

    - Refunds will **not** be provided if a player is injured during the season and is unable to continue playing. Football Victoria-sanctioned insurance is included as part of the registration fees.

    - Refunds will **not** be provided if a player or parent chooses to withdraw from the Club because of **overseas travel, relocation, holidays, personal circumstances, injury, a change of circumstances, or simply because the player no longer wishes to continue playing**, regardless of the reason.

    - Where a player travels overseas during the season and subsequently becomes injured, is unable to return, or decides not to continue playing, **no refund or partial refund will be provided**.

    - Refunds will not be given to players or parents as a result of circumstances beyond the Club’s control, such as the cancellation of any or all matches or fixtures by Football Australia or Football Victoria.

    - This may include, but is not limited to, natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions and pandemic-related cancellations such as those experienced during COVID-19. There will also be **no partial refunds if a season ends early, for any reason**.

    - Refunds will not be payable if a season is partly or fully cancelled due to advice from the Chief Medical Officer or any directive given by local, federal or state governments. The Club may consider a credit note as an option but is **not obligated** to do so.

     Payment of Club Fees

If a player’s fees are not paid in full by the nominated date advised by the Club, the player will **not receive their playing kit** and will not be permitted to participate in any form of match play or training until outstanding fees have been paid.

**2027 playing kits will not be supplied until FULL PAYMENT of all Club fees has been finalised. There will be no exceptions.**

     Code of Conduct

All parents and players must abide by the Albion Rovers FC Code of Conduct.

     Red Cards and Disciplinary Fines

Any player who receives a red card during a match as a result of unsportsmanlike conduct will be responsible for covering the cost of the **$165 penalty, or the current applicable penalty amount** for a red card.

The player will not be eligible to play until the full penalty amount has been paid to the Club.

     Rules and Regulations

You agree to comply with all Football Australia and Football Victoria rules, regulations and policies, including the Working with Children Check Policy, Grievance, Disciplinary and Tribunal By-Law (GDT), Codes of Conduct and Ethics, Registration Regulations and the Rules of Competitions relevant to the football competitions in which the Club participates.

You also agree to comply with the Constitution, By-Laws, Policies and Rules of the Club, as well as directives issued by the Club through its normal communication channels.

     Registration and Membership

You warrant that all information provided during registration is current and correct.

Only applications submitted with the appropriate fee will be accepted by the Club.

     Injury and Insurance

Players and non-playing role participants acknowledge that football is a contact sport. Accordingly, players, parents and children release and indemnify the Club in respect of any claim arising from injury, loss or damage suffered as a result of any player participating in authorised or unauthorised Club football training or games, to the extent permitted by law.

Although players are covered by Football Victoria Personal Accident Insurance Cover while playing or training, players and parents acknowledge that the Club will not be liable for any costs or expenses not covered by that insurance.

The Club strongly recommends that players and/or their children maintain their own appropriate private health insurance.

     Team Allocations

Allocation of players to teams will be at the discretion of the Club.

      Volunteering and Support

Albion Rovers FC is a community-based Club with a heavy reliance on parent and player support.

Throughout the season, reasonable requests may be made for player-parents to freely contribute their time to activities such as setting up grounds, running the line, team management and assisting with Club fundraisers and other community activities.

      Discipline and Behaviour

The Club reserves the right to suspend or expel any player, coach or volunteer who fails to abide by the Club’s Constitution, rules, regulations, policies or Codes of Conduct/Behaviour.

Parents and guardians must refrain from coaching their children or other players from the sidelines during training and game days. Parents and guardians are expected to encourage players and avoid overly critical or inappropriate behaviour.

There is **zero tolerance for abuse** of match officials, opposition players, coaches, volunteers or members of our own team.

The Club will take stringent disciplinary action where this standard is not observed. **Respect for all is critical and non-negotiable.**

Note: FOOTBALL VICTORIA FEES ARE PAID SEPERATELY AND ARE NOT A PART OF THE Albion fee structure.

     Privacy

Further to the Privacy Statements contained in the Football Australia and Football Victoria PlayFootball Terms and Conditions documents, by registering you accept that your contact details may be released to the Coach, Program Manager, Team Manager and any other necessary internal Club representative for the purposes of communication and the administration of football.

     Working with Children

It is a legal requirement for the Club to obtain the details of any individual over the age of 18 who supports the Club in a non-playing capacity, including Coaches, Team Managers and Administrators.

Please refer to the Football Victoria Working with Children Check Policy for further details.

      Use of Your Image

Further to the Football Australia PlayFootball Terms and Conditions, registration implies that you consent to photographs or images of you or your child being used for the promotion of Albion Rovers FC and football through the Club’s website, social media channels and other Club promotional materials.

     Acknowledgement

By completing registration and/or making payment of Club fees, the player and, where applicable, their parent or guardian acknowledge that they have read, understood and agreed to these Albion Rovers FC 2027 Registration Terms & Conditions.
